It’s not every day that you get to meet the Australian Children’s Laureate. I had the pleasure of meeting Ursula Dubosarsky at the National Library of Australia, shortly after her announcement as this year’s Children’s Laureate. And I had the honour of sitting next to her at a celebration dinner that night in Manuka with the wonderful Julie Ditrich, Communications Coordinator, Books-in-Homes Australia the staff of the Australian Children’s Laureate Foundation. Ursula is a wildly creative and prolific (over 40 books!), yet humble, author. I’m hoping some of her magic has rubbed off on me 🙂
