2019 National Simultaneous Storytime

I can’t think of a better way to spend my day than reading to eager preschoolers, accompanied by two stuffed alpacas, a few musical instruments and my daughter! I was thrilled to be a guest reader at Belconnen Library for this year’s music-themed National Simultaneous Storytime. I had the easy part – reading! Erin acted out the role of Meg, the frustrated music performer character in The Trouble in Tune Town, then playfully mimed the alpaca antics in the featured book, Alpacas with Maracas. Afterwards, the crowd enjoyed a song, with Erin singing and strumming her ukulele. It was fun to see children holding up their fingers to count along to the refrain of Bruno Mars’s Count on Me. A great experience!
